Position Overview
In this role, you will take a leading role in a world class team developing web services and micro services to support Autodesk’s cloud based and desktop simulation analysis and design software.
The successful candidate must hold a degree in computer science or related discipline, possess excellent communication skills and have significant industry experience at the level of Software Engineer or higher. Team leadership experience will be highly regarded.
The position has the potential to work from home.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a web-based graphics application that derives its input from cloud workers executing C++ based applications
  • Build and deploy Web Services, Micro services and test automation systems
  • Develop code to the latest cloud-based security standards
  • Development & maintenance of software and test infrastructure tools
  • Working to specifications and project deadlines using Autodesk Software Engineering methods
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years software development experience
  • A degree/masters (computer science or related discipline)
  • Extensive experience with Web services, REST and API development (from inception to deployment)
  • Extensive experience in (ideally) both of the following languages: C++14(or later), JavaScript
  • Ideally experienced in Python
  • Must be able to work well with other people in an agile scrum environment (locally and globally) , multitask and maintain high productivity levels
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise tools (CMake,Git, Enterprise Jenkins, JIRA, VSCode)
  • Experience developing cross-platform native applications (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Experience with Docker (experience with Windows containers would be a big plus)
  • Web development experience (ReactJS or similar)
